The Story
Commissar Bastun Hasp could hardly imagine a worse assignment than overseeing the Savlar Chem-Dogs. Unlike the disciplined soldiers he once hoped to command, these troops are criminals and scavengers pressed into service for the Imperium. To Hasp, they are little more than expendable tools whose only value lies in how they die in battle.
His opinion is put to the test when he is ordered to lead a kill team through hostile territory to recover critical information. The objective lies within the ruins of a former Imperial fortress now occupied by an ork warband that captured it during a recent assault.
With enemies on all sides and little reason to trust the soldiers under his command, Hasp must guide his team through the chaos of a doomed counterattack. Whether they fall to the orks—or to each other—remains to be seen.
